“Becoming a veterinarian is the only thing I ever wanted to do. At a very early age of 5 years old, I knew my passion was caring for animals…so here we are. After all these years, I still feel doubly blessed because I am doing not only what I am supposed to do, but more importantly, what I love to do. Being a veterinarian is not a job, it is my life’s work. It is what I am, there is no separation, it is in my bones, and a part of my soul. My primary goal each day is what can I do to help the pet owner get their pet to live if they are supposed to. How can I impact the pet’s future today? I happily and willingly accept the responsibility for my patients' lives on my shoulders and in my heart. Along the way in my life’s journey, I try to be as goofy and child-like as possible. I look for the good in everything and everyone. I am so blessed to be alive that if I had the chance to thank God for each breath as it occurs, I would. I celebrate life and do what I can to spread this joy and love of my life to all whose paths I cross. It is with these goofy, grateful eyes that I embrace my journey. The blessing is the people & animals I encounter along the way.”
